Best Eyelash Care for Winter

We all want to be bundled up drinking something warm during cold winter months.  Unfortunately, hibernation is not an option for most of us so we have to continue our normal beauty routines to maintain our desired look.  In determining the best eyelash and eyebrow care there are several factors that we should consider.  These factors range from your makeup and skin care routines to ways that you can improve your nighttime routine.  An important first step toward maintaining healthy lashes (especially during winter) is conditioning your lashes.  We condition our hair, skin, and nails – even though eyelashes are 100 percent human hair – we somehow ignore their need for conditioning.  INFINITE LASH Eyelash Enhance Serum is an excellent conditioner for lashes that will leave them soft and supple, and you don’t have to fear damaging your eyes because the formula is gentle.  Eyelash serum alone is not the only thing that you can do to improve the condition of your lashes.  To learn other techniques for the best eyelash care solutions read on.

Do it Daily

1) Remove makeup

Before going to bed, make sure that you remove your makeup paying special attention to eye makeup and mascara. If you let eye makeup settle on your eyelashes for long hours, your lashes may become dry and brittle. Making them prone to breakage. Do not use rough tissue as you would not want any tugging to happen to your lashes.

2) Use natural oils

Natural oils contain vitamins and minerals to help lashes become moisturized.  Oils also helps in strengthening eyelashes preventing breakage. Always be careful when applying any product no matter how natural or gentle to lashes to avoid irritating the eyes.

3) Massage

Massage your eyelids gently as this stimulates blood circulation resulting in stronger eyelashes. Do not rub your eyes as this may damage your lashes and cause premature fall out or shedding. Remember, your eyelashes are very delicate and may easily break, be gentle with them.

4) Brush

Gently brushing your eyelashes will distribute the natural oils evenly. Brushing will also help stimulate growth of lashes.  Brush your lashes in upward strokes. Use a brush or comb specifically designed for this purpose. Brushing your lashes prior to applying mascara or falsies will also help in achieving the wide-eyed look you’re going for.

5) Use an eyelash serum

INFINITE LASH Eyelash Enhance Serum promotes healthy follicles and softens brittle lashes and brows to improve elasticity. It supports lashes in becoming more flexible and less prone to breakage.

6) Flower power

INFINITE LASH contains a botanical cocktail called the OCULSANA Complex. It’s packed with phytochemicals such as grapeseed stem cell extract, white tea, and eyebright (euphrasia) all of which work together to not only condition the lashes but also give the eyes a more restful look.

7) Go green

Green tea is rich with antioxidant properties which is beneficial to the health. It has been said to aid in the stimulation of the growth of lashes. Prepare unsweetened green tea and let it cool down. Use a cotton ball to apply it to your eyelashes. Leave it for 4-5 minutes and rinse off after.

8) Eat healthy

Diet is key to every part of your body being its very best. Eat healthy foods to get a healthy body and a healthy body produces healthy hair. Include fruits and veggies to your diet to give your body and hair the vitamins and nutrients they need. Eating foods rich in protein, vitamins A, B, C, and E will promote lashes that are healthier and stronger.

9) No rubbing

Rubbing your eyes is a major no no! Rubbing causes redness and is also a good way to introduce infection to your eyes and the rest of your body if your hands are not clean. Excessive rubbing will also lead to unnecessary shedding of lashes which is the complete opposite of what you’re trying to achieve.

10) Try an eyemask

Eye masks are an effective accessory to have in your beauty arsenal. Cooling eye masks are a great way to de-stress and alleviate under eye puffiness and inflammation. Using an eye mask for sleeping will leave you feeling more rested while protecting your delicate lashes and brows through the night.

If you wake up with tired and puffy eyes, the first quick fix is to use a tea bag, a cold spoon or cucumber slices.

A tea bag is a handy and simple remedy used to eliminate under eye puffiness. You can use either green tea or black tea. Both have strong antioxidant powers and caffeine. Herbal tea can also be considered as an alternative but it is not as effective as green or black tea. You can simply wet two tea bags with hot water, allow them to cool down and gently place them over each eye. Leave them on for about 15 minutes and the under eye puffiness will be reduced significantly.

If you have a cucumber in your fridge, slice it up and lay a thin slice over each of your eyes. Cucumber is extremely effective in soothing your eyes and in removing under eye puffiness. Cucumber is also high in water content, which can help hydrate and brighten up your eyes.

If you can’t find a tea bag or cucumber, your home collection of spoons can come to the rescue. Simply chill your spoons in the refrigerator and place them over your eyes. This also works if you have irritated or itchy eyes due to allergies. Cold spoons help to reduce swelling and irritation. They can also soothe redness and bring a refreshing sensation to your tired eyes.
